The Ones I Love!

Well.. sadly it is the end of the romantical week of postings. I really hope you got to enjoy some of them. It's always nice to know that there is others out there that might share the same foolishness for sappy movies, flowers, a good love story book and all things that bring our daydreaming hearts to a stop. Of course, my sensibilities often distract me from the practicalities of everyday life, I'm likely to be found daydreaming of sitting in Paris at coffee shop sipping a latte out of a delicate china cup and eating a croissant on a lace paper doilies. (calorie free-of course).I read in a book one time someone describe it as this. "I believe the true nature of romance is relaxing your expectations and relishing in life's small moments of purity and beauty" . Being a romantic is letting go sometimes, baking a fancy cake on a plain old Monday or stopping to put on soft music to get ready by, when you are already running late. I believe I was taught to appreciate the little things .
I am really blessed to have all that i have for a romantic life. My relationship with the Lord, family,simplicity and memories-these are things that bring me joy and that make for my romantic life. And for me,there is no shame in it. I'm happy to play the fool.

Oh for the love of chocolate!

In complete, absolutely no guilt, in love with chocolate. Not just chocolate but, cupcakes that are chocolate too! So , of course I had to break down and make a few . One for you, two for me.... he he.
These turned out soo good and I always use egg whites instead of the whole egg to make them extra fluffy. You have always got to put cream cheese frosting on them for the yumo factor.There is nothing like the warm smell of chocolate cupcakes roaming through the house. I think I need to make brownies next! must keep the love alive around here. Lord knows chocolate will do it for me.

The things of Love.

Well.. had a few technical difficulties in the past days but "my love" fixed it right up for me. Since this is romantical week I thought I could list some of the things that bring my heart to just burst with warmly love. Sooo romantical!

hope you are lovin my romantical week marathon. Valentines day is coming so I am dedicating this weeks post to getting ready for it. Get ya'll in the mood. My sister called and shares old times romance like me and she loved the video too. Well.. hope you enjoy anything I post your way this week. Fall Again: Becoming Jane

Simply Romantic!

Yes! this is all me. I am a old soul, helpless foolish romantic. I sometimes say that I think I am from a wrong time period and would love to be put back into the romantical(is that a word? oh well, now it is!) 1900's. Anyways, I have been in such a classic romance mood lately. So, i have been marinating in my favorite soundtracks and movies. Hope you can enjoy a little tribute to some of these simple pleasures of mine.

Don't be jealous now! Yes, yes rub your eyes you are seeing correctly. I met Paula Deen!!!! ahh! love her! Even better it was by chance or lets say God ordained.(thank you my Jesus.) He knows my hearts desires. Well.. the story is that we had a lovely Thanksgiving visit with Ryans parents over here. We took them to the enchantingly beautiful city of Williamsburg so they could marinate in the warm autumn colors. Meema and I went into this cutesy childrens boutique and I turn to see where Meems was I then took a double look cause I was like I know that lady from somewhere??? Hum... Oh Lordy bee it was Paula Deen shopping too! Trying to not make a serious fool of my self I said to Meems "thaat is Paaula Deeen" quietly to her. She said I know I was talking to her too. I quickly jumped at a once in a lifetime chance and we thought of a plan to get our picture taken with her. You know there is no shame when you have one shot at getting this you have to take action fast. Of course we asked her permission to get a picture with her and she says "of course honey I will". As you can see I was so giddy that I have the wedding day smile plastered all across my face. She even said to me "you have the most beautiful hair" oh my gersh, and of course me and my goofyness said "oh, thank you I just washed it" ugh! What was I thinking, I wasn't thinking I was just so happy to see her. By the way she is so pretty in person her eyes are yes really that blue. She is almost like Mrs.Clause Dillon said. Well to say the least I have never met any celebrities but, I am glad the first one I did was someone I liked. The rest of the day was so bubbly and fun because of that. I am so glad that Meems and I got to share that moment together. Thanks Ya'll!

An Award for Respect!

Well... As I stand here with my smile and heart as big as the ocean. I am the proud "mama" of a son who was awarded for his respect. Dillon received a medal and certificate in a ceremony in school today for being a citizen of the month. The school chooses a character trait for each month and the teachers of each class have to choose a student who amplifies that character.
November was the month for respect and Dillon was chosen. We are so proud of you my love to God be the glory.

As you can see Dillon is the one in the Dilontastic fancy handsome outfit.(of course). Thank you Meema.


Mrs Pulley the school counselor was giving Dillon his award as she is telling the reasons why the teacher chose him. The smile on his face was so big.


Mrs.Johnson the school principal gave Dillon his medal of respect.

Mrs Tereska Dillons teacher . Love her! Love her! what a blessing she has been. It is so important to understand that God sometimes dose not give us what we ask for because He has something better. Way to go Dillon we love you and very proud of your character.
